Thank you. This had been taken last autumn (!!). We don't get to see this kind of colourful, fallen leaves often. To get a chance to shoot this is a treat. I am glad you like it.

Jorge,
The nights were cool, but not cold.
I think his posture indicates a mental rather than physical blocking out of his day to day reality.
Thanks for commenting.

Thank you, Torralba, for your kind and well appreciated comment. This is in the Old Town-district, where housest, streets and squares are well preserved, all within the best preserved fortified town from 1700 in Nortern Europe, all with surrounding town-walls, raparts and moats: http://www.visitoslofjord.no/en/fredrikstad-and-hvaler/The-Fortified-Town/History/

Wow. Love what that lens can do. The puffy clouds in the background really make the bird stand out.
Insanely sharp !\n\n\n
Thank you ever so much for your lovely comment, Jorge. Much appreciated!

I just love the overhead cool light against the warmth from below, the sheer presence of the impressive bannister and the great perspective it gives to the picture. Well done, LanceB!\n\n\n
Thank you very much, Walter!

This is an excellent image. Well seen and captured. The subject's posture and facial expression make the shot, and to that end I think the composition would be stronger if the image was cropped. At the very least, removing slice from the left hand side up to the edge of the building and cropping down to the bottom of the bright area at the far left to eliminate background that adds nothing to the shot. Additionally, the image should be rotated slightly clockwise to straighten the verticals.
